FreeFireName sets no cookies of its own. The only thing this site writes to your browser is one local-storage entry that remembers whether you picked the light or dark view. Every cookie you may find while browsing comes from Google, Cloudflare or our security firewall. This statement took effect on 6 August 2026.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on the next visit. Local storage is a similar browser store, with one important difference: it is not sent to any server automatically — it just sits in your browser until something reads it.
That difference matters here, because the only thing this site writes is local storage, not a cookie.

That is the complete list. It holds a single word, it expires only when you clear your browser storage, and it identifies nothing about you. The site itself sets no first-party cookie, and it has no consent wall of its own to remember.
The generator does send the name you type to our server, but that is a direct request and answer — it does not involve a cookie. What is kept afterwards is described in the privacy policy.
Cookies set by third parties
Loading any page means your browser also contacts these services, and they may set their own cookies:

Advertising cookies in more detail
Advertising is the part of this site most likely to place a cookie on your device, so it deserves a straight answer. Google may use cookies and similar technology to choose which ads you see and to limit how often you see the same one.

How to control or remove them
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site storage from its settings, usually under “Privacy”. You can block third-party cookies globally, clear everything for this domain alone, or browse in a private window so nothing persists after you close it.
To remove the one item we store, clear site data for freefirename.com — the theme choice resets to the default and nothing else is lost.
What breaks if you block them
Blocking cookies does not break the name generator. The tool, the copy buttons and every name list keep working, because none of them depend on a cookie. The only visible effect on our side is that your light or dark preference stops being remembered between visits — and that is local storage rather than a cookie, so blocking cookies alone will not even do that.
Blocking third-party cookies may make ads less relevant and will make analytics counts less accurate, which affects us rather than you.
